Jetex 'Response' air filters come pre-oiled and ready to fit. Once fitted they should last the lifetime of the car. They just need cleaning and re-oiling at usual service intervals. Jetex 'Response' air filters offer superior dust filtration over standard paper filters and around 40% better air flow. This of course translates into more power and better performance, attributed to an advanced cotton-gauze material and lightly oiled surface.

Jetex 'Response' elements are simply placed inside the air box as a direct replacement to the standard paper filter. For carburettor engines it is recommended to adjust CO levels at your local MOT garage after an initial 30 mile run-in-period. This is not necessary for modern petrol, diesel and turbo-diesel engines.

The Jetex universal air filter is a cost effective alternative to a direct air induction kit. Instead of hosing, brackets, nuts and bolts, these filters need only be fixed using a jubilee clip (supplied with all filters). Working on the same principle as an air induction kit, the Jetex universal filter allows the removal of all obstructive piping and clips directly onto the air-flow meter or turbo. As each air inlet valve can be different, the universal filters come in a range of varying diameters (from 8mm to 155mm). There are also varying lengths of filter which accounts for different spaces in the engine bay. Each filter also has a designated BHP which allows you the flexibility to choose a filter specifically for the power output of your engine, be it 55 or 490 BHP.

These double cone filters increase air intake by way of an inverted cone at the end of each filter. These cones can be fitted to engines from 151 to 410 BHP and are secured using a jubilee clip. They are available in black, blue, red or yellow and fit to 65-100mm air intakes.

All you need to know is the following:

• The outside diameter of the air-flow meter or tubing (inside diameter of cone filter)
• The BHP of the engine
• The approximate amount of space available in the engine bay to allow a cone filter to fit securely.
